Thomas Odell is an award-winning Sydney based pianist and composer.

He has performed in many of Sydney’s leading jazz venues/festivals including appearances at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music Jazz Festival, SIMA International Women’s Jazz Festival and Manly Jazz Festival. With the help of the George Henderson Traveling Scholarship, he participated in the Siena International Jazz Workshop (2024). He has also been a member of the Australian Youth Jazz Orchestra (2025). Winner of the Jacob Neale Jazz Award for piano.

He is part of the new Sydney band ‘Murmurations’, which just recorded their debut album in late 2025 set for release in 2026. The album will feature all original compositions written by himself and bassist Sabine Tapia.
